What is Holistic Healing?

Holistic refers to an approach that considers the whole person and their unique circumstances, rather than focusing solely on one specific aspect of their life. This approach recognises the interconnectedness and interdependence of various key areas that impact a person's overall well-being. These areas include health, work, home, relationships, creativity, spirituality, nature/environment, self-care, healthcare, personal development, past experiences (including inheritance and upbringing), and the present moment.

By taking into account all of these areas, a holistic approach acknowledges that they are interconnected and can significantly influence a person's overall health and happiness. It aims to understand the individual comprehensively, addressing the underlying causes and contributing factors of their dis-ease.

Through adopting a holistic approach, one can gain a more comprehensive and effective understanding of an individual and their unique needs. This approach enables a deeper exploration and consideration of all the factors that influence a person's well-being, leading to a more holistic and personalised approach to healing and achieving optimal health.


I’m writing a book on why we don’t heal & how to holistically address stress, symptoms & dis-ease

In a world brimming with distractions, overwhelming responsibilities, and daily pressures, it is easy to neglect our well-being and lose touch with our true selves. For those grappling with stress, symptoms and dis-ease, these challenges can intensify feelings of frustration, anger, and helplessness, creating roadblocks on the path to healing, self-discovery and empowerment. It is with a deep understanding of these struggles that I write this book, to be a steadfast companion, guide, and unwavering support for those navigating the complexities of stress, symptoms, and dis-ease.

This book is intended:

  • For those with persistent symptoms deeply ingrained in their minds and bodies, seeking relief that seems out of reach.

  • For those who have received challenging diagnoses or prognoses, feeling overwhelmed by fear and anxiety.

  • For those who feel debilitated, depleted, and exhausted by their symptoms and dis-ease, silently suffering in a state of distress, sadness, helplessness, and hopelessness, requiring extended periods of rest and recuperation.

  • For those who find themselves projecting frustration, anger, and hatred towards stress and their symptoms and dis-ease, forgetting how to treat themselves with compassion and kindness.

  • For those unable to prioritise self-care due to stress and overwhelm, struggling to remember how to regulate and heal amidst the busyness of life, constantly putting out fires or engaging in numbing and distracting behaviours.

  • For those who have forgotten that basic self-care practices such as nourishing foods, hydration, sleep, rest, fresh air, sunlight, regular movement, connection, and joy are essential for addressing and preventing stress, symptoms and dis-eases.

  • For those feeling disconnected from nature, the beauty of life, and a sense of awe and wonder, leading each day to feel mundane, predictable, and filled with a sense of stuckness and lackluster.
